Our ongoing experience with creating a makerspace: challenges we encountered, questions we found answers for and questions we are still trying to answer. Our focus is on engaging, managing, and sustaining student/faculty interest and making the best use of available resources.

Andrew Stone is an English nobleman, poet, peer, politician, and leading figure in the Romantic movement. He has also been Latin's Middle School Technology Coordinator for the last five years, and has overseen the Middle School Makerspace for three.

Come explore some of the hands-on materials we're currently using to get kids making and creating in North Shore District 112. We'll have a variety of hands-on materials and examples from our middle school STEM lab. You'll also learn about our 8th grade interest-based Moonshot Projects.
